Wiring 4PDT switch

Recommended Posts

I've got a batch of 4PDT switches with 2mmx4mm solder tags (from Maplin so unable to get advice there). They're really small and my soldering isn't brilliant.

I was wondering if I could use crimp connectors to push into the tags but I can't find any the right size. Any advice?

Try Rapid Online or eBay.

I have some crimp pins from Hobbytronics (www.hobbytronics.co.uk) reference; CRIMPPINS and they are designed to fit square pins of 0.64x0.64mm. If your 4PDT switch pins are similar, then these are an option.

Don't forget to buy a crimping tool though, unless you only plan to do a few pins.
