I've just acquired a Farish EWS Class 66 for a very reasonable price. There's one wheel centre trim missing which I can live with; also though on removal from the box there was a tiny loose detail part and I can't figure out where it might go - any suggestions?

I think it sits on one of the bogie corners. If you pop the bogie out you should see a hole for it to fix into.

Yep it goes above the yellow painted end of the wire fitted to the bogie side frame. It represents the winder for the parking brake, the linkage of which is represented by the wire.
