bubbles2
30587 was in charge of the 13.25 Bodmin General to Colesloggett Halt, trains were not reaching Bodmin Parkway due to flood damage repairs still ongoing from last autumn . the climb up to Walkerlines sidings produced much slipping with 30120 at the back closing up the buffers and giving a push arrival at Colesloggett Halt The departure from Colesloggett was very interesting, with the rain now falling the whistles were exchanged between the locos and with several bouts of slipping from both ends we slipped gracefully back under the bridge before the brakes were applied to bring us to a stand again. it was about the 3rd attempt before slowly the slipping gave way to a slow but sure climb up the grade on arrival back at Bodmin General 6435 and 30585 were making ready for the next departure The 14.05 to Boscarne junction ready to depart from Bodmin General 30120 and 30587 at Bodmin the 14.05 departure from Bodmin the PMV on the tail disappears into the steam and mist....... RMweb Premium Kris Posted January 3, 2011 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 3, 2011 Some nice atmospheric photos there. Did they have any news on how the repairs are going to the track?
bubbles2
Some nice atmospheric photos there. Did they have any news on how the repairs are going to the track? Sounds like insurance is involved, so it could take a while but they hope to start the work this month. Another one from today, the 12.53 from Boscarne junction crossing St Lawrence Road. I would have gone down, but promised to help a friend rebuild his Landrover Engine which unfortunately had to be this weekend. Bit narked about that! Regards, Nick.
