RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted January 7, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 7, 2011 Wrexham (Croes Newydd) Signal CN 958, provided in October 2009 when the panel (to replace the frame) was commissioned, this replaced a BR (LMR) ground signal with a stencil. It was made by Dorman and is a three aspect, single lens, LED based, signal. The main aspect reads to the up main or the up loop, the call on reads the same but with vehicles already present, Some details.

RMweb Gold beast66606 Posted January 7, 2011 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 7, 2011 Some signals and the banner Down signals and up home (in the first shot) AE3, down main starter, previously down fast starter, this replaced the tall lattice around 1980. AE10, down loop starter, previously down loop to down fast (there was an additional doll on it's predecessor reading along the down slow to Llandulas), provided at the same date as the above, around 1980. Focused on the up home, with sighting board, this replaced a nice gantry a few years back. Up starter and down homes, these signals all replaced nice plate and angle LMS structures. The bases of two of the LMS signals are visible in this view, these were the up slow starter and the up fast starter. The banner repeater, now a fibre optic, when originally provided (with AE3 above, around 1980) it was a conventional moving vane.

RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted January 7, 2011 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 7, 2011 I don't think much of the bloke who cabled that detector on 2415 handpoint - a nasty tripping hazard created right next to the handpoint lever. Nice pics tho'
