34theletterbetweenB&D
Still the yawning gap between loco and tender. I guess loco to tender doors are beyond Bachmann though I can't find a picture of a 9F in motion with the doors open Quite what the longer drawbar spacing is for is anyone's guess, it will go round any curve the coupled wheelbase will negotiate on the shorter provided setting. So we just have to do this for ourselves. Drill new hole in drawbar, file down the intermediate buffers to allow enough angle between loco and tender for the minimum radius on the layout they will work on, add doors. RMweb Premium Hilux5972 Posted July 8, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 8, 2018 Is there anyone that makes etched doors suitable for the 9F?
RMweb Gold Dunsignalling Posted July 8, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 8, 2018 Is there anyone that makes etched doors suitable for the 9F? Never seen any. The doors on mine are 15 thou black plasticard; they took all of ten minutes to make and fit. John
34theletterbetweenB&D
I made my cab doors from the same black bin liner that is used for the weather sheet between tender and cab roof. The extreme flexibility means they don't get knocked off.
92220
I did add some modified Brassmasters doors to the tender of 92220 as is prototypical, plus a whole lot more besides.
