RMweb Premium Grafarman Posted June 28, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 28, 2012 Morning all, We have an interesting article on MRL on Pendon - it's a revisited BRM article but with over 70 previously unpublished photos from Tony Wright: https://www.model-ra..._Photo_Feature/ cheers Chris Really good article; awesome inspirational pictures - I must be one of the few who haven't seen the real thing yet... As an aside; I subscribed to MRL website's newsletters/alerts/whatever some weeks ago but haven't heard anything since - should I have received something flagging up this article and the other one by Andy on backscenes or am I getting it all wrong as usual...?! RMweb Gold Colin_McLeod Posted June 28, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 28, 2012 That's a great set of photographs. Impressive as the viaduct is, it is great to see pictures of other parts of hte layout.
Andy Y
There's also features on Pendon in the next MI out on 12 July and another one in the next print MI in August.
Craigw
I never tire of seeing photographs of Pendon, it is always inspiring and congratulations on an excellent set. One small correction though - the model of the Barnum built by Guy Williams is in fact a 3232 class built from the Martin Finney kit by Guy Williams. They are a nicer looking loco than the Barnums any way! Regards, Craig W
Andy Y
A 1924 image has recently shown up.
ChrisMRL
Really good article; awesome inspirational pictures - I must be one of the few who haven't seen the real thing yet... Hi Grafarman re: newsletters, depending on when you signed up you should have received something in the last week (there was a Scenery Special e-newsletter) - the next newsletter is due out next friday, so if you don't get anything through give me a shout. One last thing to do is log in to Model Railways Live and look at your account settings and double-check that the 'All aspects of Railway modelling' checkbox is ticked under the newsletter options. cheers Chris
