I asked the guys who are building the layout to photograph the progress of this - and for sometime it seemed like i was asking too much, but today, it seems like progress has been made, not just on the build itself, but the development of this for my RMspace.

Having had some good news on the progress of Johnson Street IEMD, the guys have been hard at it, there was a but too much creative licence from them initially but it appears they are back on track now they know what was desired. Further pictures have come through today regarding the cosmetic updates as below.

Ok, so a little while later and some good news which should see the layiout move forward with much more pace than has been previous. The layout builder now has an extra pair of hands to see this through as much from a technical aspect to the cosmetic side of things, which is really good news and on the back of this, the below images show the concrete hard standing for the electric shed starting to come together as well as the town scene space at one side of the layo
At long last, a loco arrives which I can truly get excited about. The Bachmann Class 90 and from what I can see, is something which really raises the game for AC traction locos. I have, whilst waiting for this, concentrated on getting a reasonable clutch of DB diesel locos, and where necessary re-branding and renumbering these into the newer DB style

Ok, so, last night, I agreed the sale of one of my favourite locos, my almost perfect Class 90 019, in ultra up to date DB Cargo livery. I envisage I will have a Bachmann equivalent of this in the next two years or so, although it will be sound fitted, with dcc controllable pantograph, have fullt detail features, working cab lights and look the part operating within my IEMD set up, however, here and now, im parting company with my lovely 90. It does feel a bit sad as it's a very rare example -

I write this, having come back from a night shift and being a little sort of a loose end... the layout hasnt made any more progress as far as I am aware but the loco fleet for Johnson Street has, somewhat, had an unexpected boost. I have managed to acquire two new locos, for a fraction of the going rate, the Canadian Maple leaf style Schenker Class 67 (018) as well as a recently released model shop exclusive Bachmann YIWI-London DB Class 66 (136).
