Having wired up the layout the frogs are causing real problems with locos stalling .Not all cause this problem but it is very frustrating .Bachmann models are the real problem any tips .thanks
The class 44 peaks along with the 45's and 46's were amongst my favourite locos. I have heard that the 44's did not run over the Settle and Carlisle line or were at least very rare visitors .I have poured over many books and have not come over any evidence that they did. Can anyone enlighten me cheers.
Progress to date has seen the layout partially wired and viaduct in place (still needs painting and weathering). Station area is planned out to include cattle dock .goods siding and coal yard .This is my third DCC layout but I am finding the wiring difficult. The main problem is the electrofrog points shorting out . THE JOYS!
After many years of waiting and now the kids have flown the coop .I have commandered the garage to begin work on a Settle and Carlisle based layout. This line has fascinated me since my first family visit to Skipton in the early 1980's .Time period is mid 1950's to late 1960's ..The layout will be 14ft x 9ft and DCC. I'm hoping the Lunsters will provide a lot of advice .It migt not be up to Dents standard but here goes.
