When I was a boy, one of my Christmas presents was "The Model Railway Constructor Annual 1984, Edited by Chris Leigh". This was one of my regular "go to" books through my teenage years and beyond, and was later joined by secondhand copies of other editions, but the 1984 issue was always my favourite.
