Just for a change here are some of my own stock weathered for use on a variety of layouts.

First up a Hornby Black 5 which was part modified by Tim of RMWeb at Doncaster

The modification at the front end make a big difference - thanks Tim!

and now a dirty Mark 1 Corridor First. Nice looking coach just a bit plastic shiny out of the box so a bit of brown ink/water and brown coloured powder up to the tumblehome and black in/water and black powders

and finally a couple of photos of a pair of Parkside 24.5 T - clean

24.5 T may someday appear on Mike Edges other layout - Cwmafon - they are part of two rakes of these  I have for use on the pit - power station runs.

may need to add yellow triangles - missed these before i weathered them

Love the way you weathered these models.

Not only the coal wagons look great, I also like the way you weathered the coach.

Strangely enough the coach "went wrong" - I weathered it down at the Leeds MRS Clubrooms on Wednesday and got a bit carried away. I then wiped it down with a damp piece of kitchen towel and it has scrubbed up well. Only another 130 or so to do of these....

I wouldn't worry too much about the triangles Barry, a lot of the wagons seem to be missing them in the steam era.

South Wales seem to have specialised in providing them for some reason.... it doesn't take much as I have some yellow transfers - just better to do them before I weathered them - doh!
