Spent all afternoon making this and did in fact get a bit further before I had to give up due to lack of wood. Something went a bit wrong with the height of the traverser table (hardly surprising really as I was making it up as I went along!), so the 12mm ply would be too high. Reckon some 9mm MDF will do the trick though so will be off to get that in the morning.

It all went together pretty well and seems flat, strong and not too heavy. Big question though is is it going to slide properly? Will have to wait until tomorrow to find out but I am quietly confident!
