More work on the B5...

Well, what do you think?

Still masses to do obviously but to my mind it does now start to look like a B5 rather than a generic loco.

I've paired it up with a Triang L1/ 2P tender, which I'm going to hack up in the same fashion I did an identical Airfix tender for one of my J11s.

On the loco itself I've added a spectacle plate in slivers of plastic sheet- not quite finished yet- and I removed the cab roof, straightened it out a little and then re-instated it. It looks a lot better for this operation.

Its beginning to look good, you will have to share with us your secret on where you find all the spare time. I still have not got round to starting my M7 into a Johnson 0-4-4t yet,

An hour here, and an hour there, and two or three hours each day on my weekends.  Amazing what you can get done when you know you only have a very short amount of time to play with!

I do like that Millholme kit Barry.  Yours would be in 1930s condition, with lowered dome and flowerpot chimney?  That means I'll have to go through my Green Bible and see when they lost their GC fittings.... hopefully not before 1928/29....

its set up as a loco just before scrapping and sees occasional use on Herculaneum Dock.
