Some holes!

blog-0199047001370298436.jpgBeen a bit of a quiet few days on the building front due to a few days away at the rather brilliant Hay on Wye Book Festival. I can count some progress though as scoured the many book shops for suitable images for the buildings and have come away with several new books. I am really looking forward to recreating the images in model form and tying loads of images together to make my own little world!

Have done a couple of practical things though. I made up some actuators for the points out of tube and sheet brass. They just need drilling for the point rod and will then sit directly underneath the point and be connected to the Fulgurex via an omega loop.

Made a couple of test holes with the hole saw. Turned out not to be quite big enough but by turning the cutters around on the shaft I got just enough extra. It does cut a nice clean hole but is a vicious beast and really does need handling with care. Will be glad when I have seen the last of it!

Have not got much proper work on this week so aim to get track laid on the traverser and certainly the next board along with the points on wired up and working so I can start playing at running trains!
