About time too, I hear you say.

First up, we have the brewery kit.73926344.jpg

Yes, it is a big kit. Bought it many years ago because I had a plan for it.rolleyes.gif And now, all these, years later I have a use for it.

The bridge is only resting in position, It will be level. And a loading bay between the main buildings.

I will be putting floors into the building to give it some strength and so it doesn't look like an empty shell. I have yet to decide on a name for it, but I have a few in mind: Starkey, Knight & Ford, active into the mid '60s before being absorbed into Whitbread. They had breweries in Bridgewater and Tiverton. So maybe another in Somercombeicon_question.gif . Another name I may have is Wilkins Bros. Again a real brewery, this time in Bradford-on-Avon and distant relatives of mine. Or it may just be Somercombe.

A few now of Griffin & Fudge(Engineers) and the timber yard. Some work to do here, but it shows their location in relation to the station.

Looking towards the station from behind the works.

The building that can be seen here are only to give an impression. The bungalow goes elsewhere and the mill/warehouse will go towards the signal box.

Picked this up on ebay a couple of years back. Someone has made a lovely job of painting it.

Just noticed I'd left a dalek on topblush.gif

Looking good but just a bit concerned that the brewery might be too big for the layout and get in the way when viewing or operating.

Don't worry about the Dalek on the rooftop. It's that three-legged b*gg*r from War of the Worlds lurking in the background you should be bothered about!

As I said, the brewery is a big building, but where it is located it won't cause problems when operating or viewing, but I do want it to act as a scenic break when others are viewing. It's not in it's final position yet and could be changed for the Metcalfe brewery.

Hi JZ. I have just spent about 15mins trying to work out how to reply to your slightly forlorn sounding comment on your blog. I still view your blog regularly to check your progress but have found that the thread has lost it's fizz. I hasten to add that this is NOT because what you have produced is anything less than what I have come to expect from your, somewhat annoyingly expert works :D , but because the to and fro of other members and yourself, on subjects that I had not even contemplated, but am happy to be instructed on, seems to have been lost somewhere along the way.

If I could humbly request that (if it is possible on this revamped version of RMweb) you return to the previous version of your truly inspiring layout, and give us mere mortals :D a link to said thread, I for one would be very grateful.

All the best, Jon
