Midsomer-County / Castle Hill / Queens View / 2mm

Hello from Bavaria!

This is the continuation of the first sequence of ???Midsomer-County???.

I have finished the first part of my small British layout. In future I would like to present further completed segments here.

My N-gauge layout is displaying a small, rural area of the Great Western Railway. Please find more information on my homepage ???Midsomer-County???:

http://msclayout.npage.de/

Although it is mostly written in German you can see actually ca. 600 images about all parts of construction and making of.

The beginning today is ???Castle-Hill???:

and "Queens-View"

Have a lot of fun in searching tiny things!

Henning

I like the information sign about the castle in the second to last photo; that's a very nice touch.

Hi Henning, good to see some more GWR on the other side of the channel. I like the way the railway is located in the landscape, makes it convincing.

How is the general interest in UK layouts in Germany? In Denmark where I am based, very few people model UK railways. Partly because of the scale/gauge discrepancy I guess, but also very much because British RTR developed a reputation here for being too toy-like during the 70s and 80s. Some traders have tried selling the new Hornby and Bachmann stuff in recent years, but sadly without much success.

Hello,

Henning is like me member of britisch railway and modelrailway forum in germany http://75355.homepagemodules.de/

We are around 110 members there. But british modelrailways are not very common in Germany.

yours

Markus
