Another dugout
This was really hard. After doing one dugout entrance I didn't really want to do another but forced myself and here it is (with a bit of a PhotoShoped background).
Was actually quite hard as wanted to make something the same but different if that makes any sense. In reality this would have been a second entrance to the first deep dugout so couldn't be really different but wanted some variation. Still needs some work on the colour of the sandbags and the wood a bit. Will really come to life when I get the static grass behind it (still waiting for the longer fibers to arrive), and some picket posts and wire but more of this later.
Have also pretty much finished the first entrance now with a figure disappearing past the gas curtain (good job as he is actually a 1930's postman!), and a spare helmet hanging on a nail.
Spent ages today making the planks for the road and here they are dumped ready for the Royal Engineers to lay them.
These are made from coffee stirrers and no, I am not addicted to StarBucks but bought a 1000 of them off Ebay for £2.99. About 150 of them are involved here, each cut to length, edges rounded off and then stained - quite a task!
