blog-0146316001384988908.jpgIn the last post I was foolish enough to say that all the cutting was done. No, managed to find quite a lot more to do. Anyway, spent far longer than I anticipated on detailing the interior which has gone away slightly from the actual vehicle I am basing it on but is gleaned from period photos of similar models. All with the aim of making a slightly more interesting model.

The primer has shown up a few areas which need more filling but that is easily sorted. Will now paint the cab interior and then marry up the body and chassis. With that done I can fit the wheels, running boards, toll boxes and headlights. I have a good match to the pictures with a Tamiya acrylic so am in two minds as to spraying or brushing the top coat as have never quite got around to spraying with acrylics and not sure I feel like trying right now.

Tamiya acrylics spray really easily and don't need much thinning.

I use Halfords car windscreen washer fluid to thin Tamiya paints as well to no ill effect.

Nice work on the ambulance as well.

Cheers,

Mark
