In The Beginning...

I thought I'd give this blog thing a go with the intention of letting the community see what I am working on.

My main modelling interest lies with the North British Railway which I choose to model in S-Scale. Progress is normally slow but I'm glad to say there is progress and to prove it here are couple of items I have actually managed to finish, running on Maurice Hoppers' Country Boards.

Good stuff, Scott! This was taken at the SSMRS Autumn Meeting in Exeter last October, right? Maurice's 'country boards' will be at several shows later this year (see notices in S 1:64. exhibition list). Hope to see you again soon. :-)

Yes Phil, the picture was taken at the Autumn meeting. Unfortunately I don't get the chance to attend many meetings so It was nice letting the 0-6-0T stretch it's legs, not to mention getting together with everyone.

What lovely stock. I like the pale shade of the grass on the embankment and careful use of just a few small bushes to set the scene. Less is more.

Can we see some more please?

Thanks, I must have missed that entry on Maurice's blog. Your stock and his landscaping works great together.

Can we have a post about the R lass 0-6-0T, please?

The 0-6-0T is actually an NBR class D, a little larger than the R class. Unfortunately I'm just setting off on a four week trip offshore. I still have a few pictures taken from when it was made so if I remember I'll try and post something when I get home again.
