Anyone who read the topic I started a few days ago will know what this is all about but for those of you who don't, I intend to turn this selection of rolling stock and more (which will follow in later posts into 009 rolling stock and maybe even build a layout around that, this is not for the purists because very little of this will represent actual locomotives or wagons until I add to it with kits in the future. This for fun. blogentry-18430-0-30276200-1393955787.jpgblogentry-18430-0-65092500-1393955766.jpgblogentry-18430-0-74008400-1393955754.jpgblogentry-18430-0-88180200-1393955742.jpgblogentry-18430-0-74407600-1393955732.jpgblogentry-18430-0-61749400-1393955722.jpgblogentry-18430-0-22247600-1393955711.jpgblogentry-18430-0-62525200-1393955701.jpgblogentry-18430-0-46362800-1393955690.jpgblogentry-18430-0-35463400-1393955675.jpgblogentry-18430-0-02027300-1393955664.jpgblogentry-18430-0-20781300-1393955652.jpgblogentry-18430-0-57537400-1393955623.jpgblogentry-18430-0-07914300-1393955614.jpgblogentry-18430-0-15044600-1393955603.jpgblogentry-18430-0-07227500-1393955545.jpgblogentry-18430-0-75603600-1393955535_thumb.jpg some of the matchbox rolling stock to be converted.

Done a few of those myself... and more in the cupboard waiting slightly more adventurous conversions (like a "Double Fairlie"!).

I've got some of these, but they've got too many happy memories for me to butcher them.  Though I do occasionally look at the from the corner of my eye thinking what they could become.  Somewhere I have a complete boxed set with track.

Any tips? I've never done one before, locos are gonna be the sticky point for me. Have you done a centre cab diesel (I think that's going to be the first trickier conversion of the lot).

It took me a long time to decide if I wanted to "butcher" mine but I decided that it was the only way they had a useful future with me and I didn't want to sell them. This also provides me with a small fun long term project.
