Foster Street - Two Jobs Nearly Finished (Well Nearly)

I think I smell a plot, something is definitely going on, the Domestic Overlord has extended my parole :) I'm not stupid though I know something is a foot (well 12 inches actually) so being sneaky I have pretended to do some modelling, while really investigating the evil plot of the Domestic Overlord.

I'm sure like most of you, I have a huge list of jobs that need to be completed especially as the exhibition debut is rapidly approaching. The most urgent of the jobs is to rebuild and finish the storage yard so it is more user friendly. This meant that I actually had to finish laying the cork on this area, and I have managed to do it.

The only problem, well one of the problems with this was that the supply of contact adhesive I was using had gone hard in the tin, and I needed to get permission from the Domestic Overlord to buy some more, apparently they do not want to take responsibility for me gluing myself to something, or even myself.

Anyway I managed to secure a new supply and all went well apart from the edges turning up, I hate it when this happens, anyway a lot of weight and cursing later and the jobs done and accident free (when you think of it gluing something to yourself is just a test to see if the bond is good enough for your layout?) :)

I also to the opportunity to work on the Narrow boats, which a friend in the past referred to as looking like plant marker labels. Anyway I have nearly got them ready for painting, I have fitted safety rails, rudder controls, access hatches and beading to the sides, sounds like a lot more that it actually is.

Apologies to any Narrow boat enthusiast outraged at my lack of knowledge on this subject,

The cruel close up in the photos shows that I need to trim the panelling on one of them, all I need to do know is decide on the colour scheme for them and what goods the partially open one is carrying???

No doubt further progress on these will be a quick as the prototypes, as Domestic Overlords plot has to be uncovered, at least for the sake of humanity

As ever until the next time Happy Modelling :)
