Weston on Saturday

blog-0452857001447366042.jpgI am afraid that this probably isn't going to be the most exciting post ever as nothing really very exciting has happened! The Welshpool show went well with loads of help from Trevor, Geoff and little Iz. It was a pretty impressive setting with the layout set up underneath a huge painting in absurdly ornate frame. Not entirely sure the fact it had been on the wall for years was reasuring as it just meant it was closer to the point it would fall down and crush us all! Sadly, I don't have a picture of this to show you as my little camera has done a dissapering trick along with all it's pictures.

Last couple of weeks have been spent going through the various little things that arose from Welshpool, none of which were major but all added up to being pretty time consuming. I did get the big camera out for a quick shot of the Dick Kerrs though. Trevor has rebuilt the chassis after it's failure at Byrton and is now running beatifully. I seem to have misplaced the original chip so popped one in that I had lieing around. I soon realised that it was one that came out of the Westinghouse as it had stopped working. Strangely enough, it did work complete with sound and I was able to change the address but try as I might, I just could not get it to change CV 29 to get it to run the other way. That is until I got the soldering iron out and swapped the wires around instead!

I won't go into all the other little things here but if you come along to Weston on Saturday and can bore you in person!
