blog-0170713001450474778.jpgSince finishing the 'electrical project' on the layout, I felt it was time to run some trains...

So, after some time spent thoroughly cleaning all the track and testing the turntable and all electrics, I assembled a few trains and these photos are the result.

The first away from the station was an ex-GWR mogul hauling npccs - a mixed bag of a BR MK1 CCT, BR MK1 horsebox, both in maroon, an ex SR PMV in BR green, and bringing up the rear an ex SR van B with guards accomodation, finished in crimson..

Meanwhile the mid morning autotrain simmers in the bay, Hawksworth autocoach in maroon hauled by the branch's pannier tank , a 64xx in green.

When the parcels had departed for the junction, the collett goods, which had been taking water whilst on shed ran to the turntable for turning.

Next arrival consisted of a black 57xx pannier hauling a 2 coach 'b' set with an LMS hosebox as tail traffic, all in crimson livery.

After running into the main platform the horsebox is detatched and taken through the runround loop, after stopping alongside the signal box, it is then drawn back into the loading dock and propelled forward and uncoupled, so allowing the train engine to escape and return to back onto its coaches.

The collett goods provided the necessary motive power to propel the empty horsebox back into the loading dock - to await it's cargo.

Let us know what you think...

Until next time,

Regards
