Use more Fluxite! Glad I'm not the only one with that problem. I reckon that the dropper wire has a different finish and/or composition these days, which makes it harder to solder.

Ha ha, I picked up a coach this morning to check something and guess what - a dropper fell off!

I tin the droppers using a bit of acid based flux then wash and dry them before welding them on. I did have some non magnetic droppers as I had been supplied the wrong wire...they were a lot easier to solder just didn't work!
