bgman 17,107 Posted April 13, 2017 A beautiful locomotive. Armstrongs and Dukes being amongst my favourites and with your craftsmanship I'm certain it will become a beauty once again. Very much enjoying your work, definitely some of the very best on this site. Grahame Link to comment
Funtleyworks 158 Posted April 13, 2017 Hello Grahame Many thanks for you kind words! They really are some of the most elegant designs of engines, and a Duke is very soon to follow too, but that is for me so will have to wait for now! Link to comment
MikeOxon 6,630 Posted April 14, 2017 I can 'feel' the weight of it from the photos As a 4mm modeller, I find it fascinating to see how much more 'massive' all the components look at the larger scale. Looking forward to seeing your Duke. I agree with bgman that these locomotives represent a final flowering of 19th century elegance, before Churchward introduced the angular practicality of the 20th.
