Apart from the beautiful build quality, I'm impressed by how you polish all the surface.  Perhaps you could share the methods you use?  That brass dome looks wonderful.

When building to this standard it pays not to do to much in one go! If you do to much then cleaning up becomes a chore. A little thought as to what you can reach to clean before fixing parts always helps to give rewards in the end. After every session of building then a good wash in warm water, and I use bar keepers friend to remove stains and marks.

As for the dome and chimney, (I forgot the safety valve bonnet!!) it's best to remove any marks with emery paper as files can leave scratch marks. The final Polish is with good old brasso on a felt pad in a mini drill. Then keep polishing!!
