A soloution to the Kaydee problem
I have mentioned previously that I have an issue with a lack of Kaydee coupling boxes relative of the number of coupling hooks I have available
I think I have come up with a suitable soloution...
It starts with a length of aluminium rod of a suitable diameter,
A hole is drilled in some plasticard the thickness between the floor and the coupling height, the length of rod is epoxied into this hole.
The coupling spring is then glued in place if available (I don’t care about coupling / uncoupling as this will be a fixed rake) so if it’s missed out it’s not the end of the world
To secure the coupling in place a sleeve of brass tube (internal diameter matching the outside diameter of the rod is glued in place
It has other benefits in that there is no coupling pocket interfering with the front of the Bogor or protruding through the headstock
Now to make another 7 of them....
