Modelmaster - failure to deliver

Having been conned by the existing Modelmaster website, to the tune of £11.05 for goods not supplied, I felt that is was only appropriate to advise other honest railway modellers of the sharp practice I have been subjected to. Having ordered goods in good faith and paid by bank transfer (the only one on offer by Modelmasters) and not received my order, I sought redress by email and phone call to which no reply was received. Upon investigation, it transpires that the firm was dissolved as long ago as 2021! Yet the website is still "live" and taking potential customers` money.

Beware all and sundry to this racket.

Regards

I'm afraid this is a very long standing issue. Loads of people have lost money, I placed an order that was never delivered.

You can contact trading standards

South Ayrshire Trading Standards (01292 61600) and add it to the list.

How about two sound decoders (from a weel known man whom I and other modellers have trusted) returned plus two lots of postage....and NO refund weeks and weeks later.   I reported it to the credit card company and completed their claim form.

That's absolutely nothing to do with Modelmaster is it?

No Andy, nothing to do with Modelmaster, but just as annoyed, frustrated, and disappointed over a well known name used on this forum and where a greater amount is concerned.
