Judith Edge Steelman Royale dodgy handrail...

Not sure what to do about this. If you look at the front handrail you will see that the angles on either side are different due to my dodgy bending.

I could strip it down and start again but I'm worried about messing things up and I've already put a lot of effort in. On the other hand its not particulary noticable from most normal viewing angles. Hmmm.....

Does anyone know what shade of green to use? Brunswick Green is mentioned in the Bicester book but I would like a second opinion. And has anyone got any ideas as to what transfers to use? I'm modelling number 272 'Royal Pioneer', nameplates included in with the kit, and need the transfers for 'M.O.D. 272 SA'.

The reason that I chose that one is because it had wasp stripes on the bufferbeams only and some of the others had stripes on the beams and body ends.

Honestly? I think you should re-do it, as you've done such a great job of the rest of the shunter it would be a shame not to continue your high standard...

However, I would understand if you didn't. I did have to look twice to spot it!

If you have some fine flat pliers it is possible to move the bend slightly. Army green wasn't far away from BR Brunswick green - I've used it on a loco in this livery.

Now why did you have to take that photo head on and make an issue of - now everyone can see it. I think the suggestion of the pliers is the best bet - re-doing the whole handrail fence will be a lot of trouble and you still may not get it perfect - remember, the camera is your enemy as they say "from normal viewing distance ..." ;) ;)

Thanks for the comments guys - I'll start with pliers and if that doesn't work I'll have to start waving a soldering iron about...
