Bricking it.

Oh dear, my computer decided to give up recently and required some time in the local PC shop for repairs. So without the PC I had no option but to bite the bullet and get on with some modelling again.

I finally got around to adding some colour to my goods shed. This was done using water colour pencils recommended by Steve (Pixie). I'm quite happy with the out come, but it still needs some touching in. This was done over a grey primer, then the pencils were used wet (orange) and then dry later on (various red)s.

Also my roof tiles arrived from York Model Making. I have to say, I'm quite pleased!

Hello Bryn :)

Woohoo! Fantastic progress :D I knew this laser cutting stuff would catch on, the brickwork and tiles look brilliant.

Thanks J!

After stressing with trying to get the ratio roof tiles to match, laying the self adhesive tiles was a breeze in comparison. Plus the colours and texture is spot on. The bottom of the shed is blue engineering brick, I'm still playing around with blues and purples to get the right effect.

Good to see you posting again Bryn.

The shed looks great - interesting technique for the colouring - will store that one for future use.

What can I say nice crisp lines all beautifully square and the finish to the brickwork is superb.Really need to get more practice in on buildings seem to be better at 12" to the foot when it comes to them.

Thank you for the praise guys, it's appreciated! But it is a photo taken at quite a distance, the whole thing is 350mm overall. Once you get close in, it's not as square as it first seems blink.gif

I've cracked the blue engineering brick issue, a dark grey wash with a dry colouring of a rich purple on top. More photos next post.
