Raffles in "Modelling Time" shocker...

It's been a interesting weekend. My 19-month old daughter seems quite taken with the novelty of having me at home since Friday and the wife has been unwell. I haven't had any time really to do any modelling for a while now and this weekend was going to change that. See above for why that wasn't the case...

Anyway, this evening, after the child was safely tucked up in bed, I set about a simple re-numbering to make me feel better. I gathered my info on the subject matter only to find that photos of 47/7s in blue with the standard headlight fitment aren't that common. No matter, I found one, but, as you all know, nothing ever goes smoothly as far as 47s are concerned. At the time the photo was taken, 47706 still had marker discs at both ends so out with the scalpel...

Some time later after some VERY careful trimming down of the no.2 end marker lights, they were covered with disc transfers. No.1 end was also done and then I slapped on some HJ TDM cables, removed and then replaced (in the right place) the electrification flashes then it was on with the numbers and my evening is complete (well, it will be when I finish the other two cans of cider).

Here's a photo to prove I'm not a liar

Just got to get some nameplates and then start the search for the elusive additional air pipes above the battery boxes...

Thank you for taking the time to read this by the way. B)
