What a great weekend, the 2mm Association's 50th Anniversary show really did live up to the expectations. A great selection of layouts (new and old) and enough enthusiastic faces to keep me talking almost solidly for the whole weekend.... only stopping to a sip a few ales biggrin.gif

I've now come home full of inspiration and a note pad full of ideas. I also think I may have solved the issue of the 3 way point (more to come on that shortly). Thank you to everyone who stopped to talk with me and also the positive words on my plank and points.

Nice one Bryn - looks like you had a productive trip back on the train - keep the sketches coming - CBG lends itself to be appreciated from both the side and the front, so that makes for a nice solution...am staying tuned for more ;)...

Hi Bryn,

That layout sketch looks intriguing - it reminds me of the 'Queen Street Goods' 2FS layout that was on the exhibition circuit a few years ago. That was viewed from the end of the tracks IIRC.

I look forward to hearing more about the 3 way point.

Pete,

I had always intended to only have a back scene on two sides, but had never really thought how I would "frame" the layout and provide a lighting rig. Luckily the above solution solves both quite nicely.

Andy,

I doubt I will ever really exhibit it as an end on layout, like Queen Street Goods, but I have to admit it has been a big inspiration for this project. Is the layout still around? I've not seen it for a while.

The 3 way is progressing well today and I hope to write something up in the early hours of tomorrow.

I seem to recall hearing that it went in a skip after there was no interest when it was advertised for sale and the space needed to be reclaimed.
