Gilding the lily..............?
One thing I have shied away from until recently is lining out the trams, feeling that none is better than a dogs dinner. However talking to Chris Cornell at the Festival of Model Tramways, he showed me his 'convert' lined out using transfers that he has developed. He's kindly supplied me some (think they may be pre production, not sure if they're listed on his CCtramworks site)
They are superb, as yet I've only used them on the rocker panels, but they really finish of some of the earlier cars, with a bit of messing they'll be suitable for Hamilton, balcony, enclosed and converted cars, plus Chamberlain pivotals and hopefully some of the second hand cars,
Other than that, much of my recent spare time has been spent 'fettling' Grime Street in anticipation of a visit by Steve Flint to photograph it. This happened this week, article nearly written, so you'll get to read about it in print sometime in the future, betcha can't wait!
Few bits to sort before Wakefield, want to try and finish works car 6, ex Manchester 'PIlcher' and 601, but Mrs Red Devil has got me decorating..........................! Oh aye, the destination blind? It's on the stairs, might purloin it for Wakefield though, wonder if she'll notice?
