Hythe Parkway - A couple of wagons + competition

Hi,

Just a small update today!

There's been a couple of new arrivals to the Hythe Parkway stock list, the first is a Bachmann JPA cement bogie wagon in Larfarge Cement livery, I actually brought this at the beginning of october as a birthday present for myself at the Illford show. The secound is a Dapol KTA Pocket Intermodel Wagon in clean Tiphook Rail livery, brought from Chelterham Models at Wycrail yesterday inbetween stewarding duties:

They're pictured on Bigporth.

Nothing has been doing on Extension front, still waiting to get the rest of the buildings.

In the mean time I submitted 3 photos of Hythe to the National Railway Museum's "Most Realistic Railway Model" competition. My set is No. 7, see here to take a look at the pictures and to vote for them (please!)

I noticed the name of the layout and thought "hang on, hasn't that been in a Railway Modeller recently...?" Then saw the corrosponding blog post a little while ago, haha!

I like your layout and the way it mixes modern mainline rolling stock with the preservation scene - it's something that happens more regularly nowadays but you don't often see it modelled. Really nice job. I like the look of the new extension building too - how does that fit in with the trackplan? If you've already covered it in another post and I've yet to read it, my apologies in advance.

Hi,

Thank you very much!

The main building sits over the secound track back from the front, with a platform sitting inside it and a loading dock for lorries.
