Hillsides and Cliff faces Part 2
It has been a couple weeks since we have had an update here...and things have been moving on apace...
During this period the hillside has move from this...
...to this...
Once the polystyrene/foam had been carved, it was covered with a mixture of plaster and textured surface (the new name for artex). The grey cliff faces were then painted.
You will see from the picture that the road surface has been completed. The Faller flexi-road was used for this; although one or two minor amendments need to be to the bridge itself.
Next was added the base level of greenery, fixed to the hillside with a mixture of green paint (of various hues) and PVA. The scatter itself is a mixture of Faller, Woodland Scenics and Gaugemaster.
The trees are a mixture of Faller and Woodland Scenics...the ones in this picture are all Woodland Scenics.
Moving towards the town, the park area has also seen some attention. An addition to the backscene gives the street scene a little more depth, as well as the trees from the parkland.. There is still a little more to be done here, however the majority is now complete.
Just one more week, and then it's a two-week break from Christmas and New Year...
