Hythe Parkway - Roads and Walls

Hi,

Unfortunately my computer has been down for the past week, meaning I've been unable to access RMweb. But this has made me progress with the extension of Hythe (I should really come up with a name for it!).

Over the past week, I've started to build the wall that seperates the rail yard and the Road. This is made out of 5mm Foamboard clad in Slaters Brick Paper, this is in a attempt to try and make the board lighter.

Also, I have managed to paint the white road markings and lay the pavement on the road side of the board, I still have to paint the yellow markings, but I haven't got any yellow paint!

The markings are a departure from my previous way of doing road markings, using sticky labels which are horribly over sized and don't stick, they are painted on using masking tape to create a nice clean line. I learnt to do this with the markings on the concrete hard standing. The Red area is where the buses will stand and the paved section is where a bus shelter will stand. The Bays are going to be for taxis. I've also added a ramp up to the rail yard.

I've managed to get the station and other buildings from the old board, but I'm waiting to build the backscene before I stick any buildings down. I can't do this until some 6" of snow has melted!
