Hi all.
Another small update on Ropley progress sees the second point now complete. This is the point at the Western end of the station loop and is on a very gentle curve which made things a little more interesting than the first one.
Test runs of various stock shows a little tweaking is necessary around one of the switch blades but otherwise everything seems to run quite happily through it!
Wiring has also started with the main DCC bus being installed and the first sections of track connected up. This has allowed the first train to run from one end of the first scenic board to the other, so another milestone now passed!
Anyway, photos!

Changing the subject slightly, if you head back to the start of this blog you will see that the original plan was to model the swing bridge at Somerleyton in Norfolk. This was shelved to make way for the operationally more interesting Ropley however the 2011 challenge and a week boating on the Broads has me thinking.......
I think I can just about fit the swinging span & box in to the dimensions of the challenge. The question now is, can I finish it by October...hmmm
Tom.
