diversions
Well today I had a couple of jobs to do about the place, and then planned to go into town to visit the Parking shop for some more permits- (we are having a new kitchen installed next week so need plenty).
Then I discovered that the shop is only open until 2pm, so I have taken the opportunity to take a coupl emore pics.Haha.
First off, the back view which I described yesterday:

Next, Glenfield Frith tunnel mouth. This in reality was tighter than the model, through which only 2Fs and 1Fs tended to be used ( later class 2's had their cabs reduced so they too could use it!Not encouraging for someone who would like to run the Kirtley 2-4-0 and Spinner...
However, given that my converted Johnson 2F is to 1:148 scale anyway,( as are the others I mentioned), there was a need to increase the dimensions a tad to make sure the Union Mills tender would pass through. Cheating? Probably, but sometime Rule 1 just has to prevail..
