making a start

As 2011 ends, and so does the construction of my personal layout, Sandy Hill, i fancied a new challenge for 2012. I have been contemplating an exhibition laout for some time, with a view to making it wow wise in the scenery department.

The plan is quite simple:

two curved sections, six feet square (cut to shape) that will join together. The one curved half wll feature a raised two-track railway running alongside the beach area at Dawlish. The station will not be part of this. The other section will be Cockwood Harbour with inlet, again two tracks no points work.

This allows a middle section of the Warren some point in the (distant) future to be slipped in. But for now it's the ends I'm concentrating on. Where to store it, people to help all open for offers in the months to come. But I hope it will make an interesting project - long term so please dont expect it finished by April.

I'll upload a basic plan soon. Be great to build the sea wall sections, town area at dawlish and lots of water features again - break out the resin for 2012!
