Moving to P4 (Post 10)
Well, I'm back from my 1st S4 exhabition, Wakefield. Really enjoyed it, some great layouts were there that I was thoroughly impressed with, not one of them disapointed me. it must be said I went mainly for trade though. I think I've spent at least £80 (gulp), I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end, the best thing is I managed to nab exactly what I was after and then some, so no disapointments.
This is an overview of what I got.
A close up of a few things. I brought a mixture of wheel types and bearings to cater for a few different methods.
3 cambrian wagon kits; I've never built a kit from this company but I couldn't argue with less than £5 a shot.
Cake turntable for air-brushing, fibreglass pen refills, some more solder as I'm running out, some mineral inserts for wagons; with these I want to cover the tops with coal and stick a magnet underneith so I can remove the load at will, read about it somewhere I think. A brassmasters axle spacing gauge is something that I badly wanted, have one now.
A (I think) complete set of lazer cut curve templates. These I could not resist the opportunity so I'm looking forward to using them in the future.
Well, hope that was worth reading! I'm going to shortly crack on with that point kit now I have the long awated blade.
Hope you all had a good day too, those of you who may have attended.
