And very nice too! Happy memories, used to live just below "Old Mills" (and Springfield Colliery), the old "Batch"(otherwise known as "Daddies Coal Tip") was visible from the lounge window.The Old Mills site was purchased by two local builders/businessmen who opened one of the very first DIY supermarkets around-Clapton Building Supplies.

How very pleasant to be referred to as a "gentleman"!!Sorry to have not had a word at the show but we were in a bit of a rush- good to see "Calshot" and was very grateful for your post mentioning the show-it didn't appear to be well publicised (or at all).Yes,agreed good little show and I was very grateful to the ever helpful Ron Lines for supplying two odd coach roofs in a "bargain pack" with which I may now start to update two Hornby clerestories.Oh joy!
