  1. Oh Boy They should make you Sales Manager for CDC models! The above photographs have sold me anyway. Thank you so much.
  2. Just found this. What a crying shame the photographs were lost!
  3. I have several Hornby Black fives and in order to produce good ones I have cannibalised bits from one loco and my spares box. This has left me with 3 usable tenders, a good chassis and a really bare body. I only need cab steps and sandboxes and I'll be OK for yet another. Any source recommendations would be really welcome.
  4. Well I gave it the occasional run BUT today a driving wheel moved on it's axle. In a box now awaiting it's fate. Again DO NOT DO THIS CONVERSION
  5. I am considering replacing my aged airbrush with https://www.expotools.com/acatalog/Gravity-Feed-Airbrush-with-Pistol-Grip-AB777.html but I can't find a review. Could any helpful person here comment on it's ability?
  6. 247 developments is now selling containers https://www.rmweb.co.uk/profile/29567-247-developments/content/?type=forums_topic_post Long missing items. I am putting an order together but wonder if the steel containers made it to the 1960s? I thought I had seen a photograph but can't find it now.
  7. Work continues on the Yard side...................updated plan
  8. Hi Brian Quite interested in the container set. Was that a show special? Or can I order a set? If so it's by @phone only I believe. I am a bit deaf these days but should be OK.
  9. Well done Tony! They got about more than you would think. I have a photo of one near Bilston (Wolverhampton area). A running in turn on a trip working (or as known in the area a "bank train") Rob sent me the below info According to "Pannier Papers No 6", several 15xxs were overhauled at Wolverhampton Stafford Road works:- 1500 left works 10/5/62 1502 left works 13/6/57 1507 left works 27/12/60. 1507 On 1/1/61was photographed at Worcester on the only known passenger working by the class!!
  10. Well! It's all coming together (a bit like a jigsaw puzzle) slowly. The DCC/DC panel is working great. A flick of a switch and it's either Z21 or a choice of 2 MODELEX hand held controllers. The latter are the absolute bees knees in DC control. Achievement due to all the gang working together . Teamwork makes the dream work!
  11. Have you seen this? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/355414562110?hash=item52c05bd53e:g:0H8AAOSwCFNls~67&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4AUaz0ZXB3aVyNFW6dPqdRLW4R%2Fy5%2FI69eXxFpacGdFnMlHf710ehzqGeaU2eqMPffK71sxnw9qNEcBSXHVKf98RGILn0hTG9mcsT0g24RpWx1WHUAFVeVGtflC3Q0bvVgMtmw0%2BCcQHpqoZ%2Ffosv2atRJl5KFXGZSldBihm%2Fm8GfBCZb34mFTdjpMf3S5Xafv3MiJtbykj0wPVZSdYmRTCEftJaVOVdh%2Bdt9WOD1ZPCK3iisrBZK4knfCPoSJ17tHIDf45YoHpOTMcbjGNKmKjBh7jFW94I08leA7iVU4TY|tkp%3ABk9SR9j6vr2pYw
  12. Inspirational! I feel ready to try one after seeing this. Especially as I have just discovered https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/386322315345 and my soldering is now much much neater
  13. Just in case anyone was wondering about the name (and nobody was!)
