  1. Google is still directing its users to the Viagra site, at today’s date....
  2. w Calling the number spacing "off" is being too generous.
  3. I've had a few (non-railway) items on recently; and although a couple of people were slow, I got two/three who won items, and then informed me that they were overseas - despite the fact that my details quite clearly state "UK only". They got told to go away; but then you've either got to re-advertise, or offer it to the next highest bidder, which is all time-consuming (as if selling on e-bay wasn't already!), and more trouble than it's worth, given the relatively low value of most of this particular tranche of items. Heigh-ho.
  4. Photo 4 showed the underside of the model. The loco had been laid on one side, with the tender resting on top of it it a like position (so much for MIB). The tender side was lettered "LMS". I haven't had a reply to my question yet. If I thought there was any point to my doing so, I'd take this up with ebay, but I don't imagine that they'd actually do anything.
  5. I've asked our friend why photo 4 isn't of the same item as the other three photos... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=331161263592
  6. And the answer is.... "I buy lots of items from auctions, these models were in a job lot I bought about 8 days ago from a local auction that deals in bankrupt stock, as much as I would like to research where all the items I buy etc come from, how much they were, how much they should sell for etc, I do not have the time etc to do this sometimes I just have to take a gamble and hope it pays off, After reading your email this morning I did take a trip to WHSmith and couldn't find these so unfortunately I am no wiser to the answer of your question cheers martin - bankrupt_reclaimed_stock_clearance" Hmm. Who knows....
  7. Just asked question. Will post if/when a reply is received.
  8. The man spends his life flogging model railway items, and can't even spell "Farish"? I wouldn't have believed that he could sink any lower in my estimation......but he just did!
  9. The rods on this are suspicious to say the least, which does make me wonder how it "ran well" Such a shame to see such a lovely kit end up like this Paul A. It actually says that the loco motor ran well - nothing at all about the locomotive's actual performance. Perhaps that's why a service is recommended...
  10. "The mods don't like pictures of RTR locos straight from the box....." A serious question...Is this right? If so, it has the smell of the elitist about it, as practised by some of the "post-or-die" on-line societies; and - if the statement IS accurate - takes no account of those of us with ten thumbs, or for whom age and bodily decrepitude are a daily feature. Any thoughts?
  11. Not forgetting to sell it later on e-bay as "exhibition standard". R.
