  1. That looks like the Yugoslavian version of the loco. JZ class 62. Slightly higher pitched boiler hence the angled steam pipes. Would make an interesting conversion to the Minerva model. Mike
  2. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VixrQYaBvz0&t=19s&pp=ygUTZmlyZWxlc3MgbG9jb21vdGl2ZQ%3D%3D Not sure if you've seen this clip of some fireless locomotives in Bolivia. Mike
  3. And one more: Hopefully we can encourage a few more 'large scale ' peeps to post some pictures. Mike
  4. Here's a couple of mine that actually got completed. Both LGB -based: Mike
  5. Nice to see larger scale locos. I started an LGB based Garratt a while back, but the project stalled. May be time to get it going again. Mike
  6. The winder from an old broken wristwatch might work as a representation of a radiator cap, if you can find a small enough one. They've usually got knurls in them. Mike
  7. Do you have contact details for Seven Models? Website? Cheers Mike
  8. I'd love to build one of these locos. Is the kit still available? Mike
  9. Hi there. I see that you've got a couple of Branchlines Ford Railbus kits to build. Did you buy these recently as I didn't know if Branchlines was still trading? Also, just wondering what your thoughts are on complexity/accuracy of the kits. Cheers Mike
  10. Hi Peter If you still want to have that nice big curved section why not use shorter coaches to get round the buffer-lock issues? Or you could be sneaky and try slightly larger buffer-heads and slightly longer couplings. After all, who will ever know?! Hope you find a solution. Mike
  11. Hi Marc. They're both scratchbuilt. I bought the Roxey kit for the Neilson years ago but sent it back as I thought the quality was a bit lacking. I think they may have upgraded the kit since then. I quite enjoyed researching the Neilson. I managed to track down the chap who owns Snipey which was of course the engine that worked at the mines. He provided some photos and info. The other one is still awaiting completion as I couldn't face doing the rather complex valve gear! Hence my current dalliance with G scale!! Much easier on the eyes. Mike
