Hi Steve Fantastic article and interesting read, as a very close friend of mine, (not a modeller) had serious mental health issues some years ago, but thankfully has got through the worst and is now actually offering his help to friends and local people with similar issues. I cannot experience what people go through but it is good to know that there is help out there outside the (useless) NHS. Keep up the excellent modelling work mate, always an inspiration!! Just measured my 00 Ratio canopy on their "GWR" station building and its 54mm from base to ridge. I can't guarantee it's the same as the one in your OP, but looks similar. I'll try and post a pic tomorrow. Regards, Rob (Deano)

Invaluable!! I have the 14" Avonside one that Eileens do, and a cheaper version 8" and 2" which are great for smaller components. (Although the big one is as good for small bits, I find it easier to pick up and work in your hands as opposed to on the bench with larger components; if that makes sense?!) These work just as well despite not quite as well finished as the Avonside one. Usual disclaimer applies. Regards, Rob.

Have a look here, might be useful advice. I'm no expert but, I bought a cheap chinese one for learning with and also have in my stock an Iwata Neo TRN2 and a Badger 200 Both excellent brushes but if you want to spray large areas the Sparmax 850 seems a popular choice due to the larger capacity cup (125ml) Compressors are again dependant on you usage. I have a mini one for airbrushing, a 6L for general use, tyres, spray cleaning, air gun cleaning, etc. and a 50L for my grit blaster (far too big for general use!) A must have is a moisture trap/filter and for obvious reasons oil free operation. There are far more experts in this field out there, this is just my setup! Good luck Regards, Deano
