  1. I've just been looking through this thread for some info and found your post. 47612 was renumbered 47838 in 10/89 with livery change to I/C Swallow. Anyway here it is again hauling a rake of NSE Mk1s & Mk2s Photo (C) Iain Reid from Class 47 website http://www.class47.co.uk/c47_zoom_v3.php?img=0176020042000
  2. Bloomin' typical. You wait all day for a 37 then you get 13 all at once.
  3. Looks like the paintwork on the roofs of the blue models is a bit rough in places and the surface finish on the cab fronts looks a bit grainy also. Not quite the clean bill of health I was hoping for. I also take your point about the jumper cables. Makes you wonder if these couldn't have been plug in extras like the ETH socket. Ah well maybe it was all done to keep the cost down.
  4. Now, now, anyone can make a mistake and if you leave off the brake cooling pipes that just adds another error.
  5. I suspect the one you're looking for is 47702 seen pictured at Inverness in NSE livery http://www.class47.co.uk/c47_zoom_v3.php?img=0925010359000

  7. Hornby aren't the only ones not delivering. I've been waiting for Graham Farish products for months now and ....nothing. My ScotRail class 47 and DBSO, Class 37 Railfreight not a dickie bird. With the exhibition season starting with the ModelRail Scotland show in Glasgow in a nine day's time there might be little new UK outline stock on offer. Rather disappointing all round I'd say. Come on guys "digital extractum"!!.
  8. I've just seen this topic and am very saddened to hear the news. Somehow or other it's the first I or my colleagues in Moray Model Railway Group had heard of it. Ian was a great supporter of our exhibition in the early days and and will be sorely missed.
  9. I spoke to the guys on the Bachmann stand about a new ScotRail livery version and they were almost dismissive and quite offhand. Suggested that the small numbers wouldn't make it worthwhile. Come on Bachmann 47708 is too long in the tooth. We've had two RES variants since moving production to China.
