  1. If anyone is interested in "Rollwagen" (waht's the English expression for this vehicles?) in a better quality, one should have a look at those models of "Glöckner" (scroll down): http://www.modellbau-gloeckner.de/edition-schmalspurbahn/ They're available in both gauges H0e & H0m and in long and short verions. For Harz railways. the long Rf4-type in H0m ist correct. Best regards Jörn
  2. Hello Paul, for gypsum or other bulk freight transport on sherman narrow gauge railoads, I recommend former BTTB-models of OOt-wagons, like these: https://www.der-lustige-modellbauer.com/t23793-schuttgutwagen-oot-in-h0e Similar cars were used until recently in Germany`s lignite mines. However, they require a tipping station (Tiefbunker) and another loading station, if the material shall be transported to further facilities. Best regards Jörn
  3. They do so because actually they want nothing but nature. Since these good-guys took over control of todays Nationalpark area, they scraped many famous and the most beautiful walking trails which have been existing for centuries. But this becomes too political for this forum.
  4. Hello Paul, your rebuild SHE-arrangement is the reason why I subscribed this forum. I live in the western Harz Mountains, me and many fellow citizens are angry and confused about politicians inability to give aid money for a re-connection of Braunlage to the HSB-net. Furthermore some hardcore-environmentalists from the national park refuse this project, too. So it's a pleasure to see our dreams being realized in the UK - in 1:87. I' follow your thread with interest. Best regards Jörn
  5. Hello everybody, I'm Jörn aka Silbergräber from the Harz Mountains, Western Germany. I inscribed in this forum because of Paul's SHE. I've been living in the Harz for around half of my life. Model railroading accompanies me my whole life. My special emphasis is on narrow gauge trains, especially the Harz branches NWE, GHE and SHE, but also the branches in South Westphalia like KAE, PKB and others are of interest for me. My current modelling activities can be seen in the Stummiforum, Germany's biggest forum for model railroading: http://www.stummiforum.de/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=144119 It's a prototype freelancing narrow gauge route in existing valley in the Western Harz, which has never been build. Furthermore, I am interested in accurate operation: I don't like to play with my railroad by circling, but I like to operate it like a real one. Best regards Jörn
