Spent many years of my life as a model maker for Britains Petite,  a Nottingham based toy manufacturer. This involved design and development, simple injection mould tools, lathe, milling and hand tools. Started railway modelling in the early 80's, inspired by Iain Rice and his Treggarrick layout, developed my model building's skill, using the same methods, as those used by North London Group's - Heckmondwike which were illustrated in magazines of that time. I have allways scratchbuilt everything, I've never built a model railway kit and I don't own any manufactured stock, for me, the enjoyment comes from research and creation.
