Thank you so much for your help, Jon! I've taken a look at the 5 diagram books on the website, and they have absolutely no description of their contents! If anyone here knows which of the books, other than Volume 2, have the "Elliptical" stock, then that would be much appreciated! It would save me a bit of money instead of buying all of them to check for a few things. Also, does the "NER Passenger Train Rolling Stock as at December 31st 1906 (numerical listing)" actually have any diagrams? I'm not sure what the contents of that is either. Cheers, Julien.

Mr. Stanger, the man who runs 52F Models, is an incredibly kind chap! He also has an incredibly revolutionary instruction system, which is a thick booklet accompanied with coloured CAD drawings on how to assemble the kit (very similar to an IKEA build!). It makes it incredibly easy to construct kits as you have MANY visual references that are of different angles and colour-coded. He also gives much consideration to make it easier for the modeller, which is why all the parts that are curved or rolled are done beforehand by him, so it's mainly a matter of assembly at that point for you. I HIGHLY recommend that you give it a try if you're interested in the N.E.R. 'T1'! His kits are truly like no other... Here's a photo of my instructions for the L.N.E.R. Thank you very much! While I am waiting for the books to arrive, I checked in with the N.E.R.S., and Mr. Colin Knapp said "[he knows] we have very little if anything useful [on the clerestory electrics]." The N.R.M. also likely does not have much, as I could only find a list of their components from the N.E.R. but not contents within that. Are there any other archives that could have diagrams of them? I know that a copy of The Engineer has one, but that's all I have heard. Cheers, Julien.

Hello everyone! I am currently in the process of researching the N.E.R. Tyneside clerestory electrics so that I may build a rake of them (either 3D printed or brass etched), but I am having some great difficulties locating any reference material. Because I am in the States, it's difficult for me to schedule visits to archives, so that limits my scope of research. The internet does not have many photos or drawings of them, and a lot of the pictures and links posted here no longer work. If anyone has references they are able to share (i.e. diagrams, component drawings, photos, even videos if possible!), please feel free to add them to the thread. Cheers, Julien.

Hello everyone! I am currently trying to construct my own Oerlikon, but I'm struggling to find good references to make it accurate. Since I live in the States and do not have many opportunities to visit the National Railway Museum or the Metro-Cammell collection, if anyone would be so kind as to share official drawings, diagrams, and internal views for the Oerlikon, that would be much appreciated! John Redrup, the owner of London Road Models, also says that he is struggling with finding good references for the cab of the Oerlikon, so if anyone here has photos or drawings of those, it would help him as well in making his kit. New to the thread here! I tried calling the number listed on the catalogue that was posted on this thread, and it directed me to a lady who had no association with Mr. Arthur Kimber. I double checked and made sure I did not dial the wrong number by mistake. I believe he might have changed it. Does anyone know his current phone address, unless it really is +44 (0) 1253 725143? Me again! Just had a phone call with him again with a few updates on what he currently has in his inventory. He confirmed that he still produces the N.E.R. autocoaches (elliptical and clerestory). I also enquired about the N.E.R. Stores Van, and he did mention that he had some spares and possibly still the toolings to do it, it's just that no one has requested that in a while. He also has in stock the Wisbech and Upwell coaches pack, consisting of a 4-wheeler and an 8-wheeler. Hope this is of use to any of you seeking for said items! Cheers, Julien.

I phoned him yesterday morning, and we had a lovely chat together. I enquired him about his 4mm N.E.R. kits, and he still produces them. However, he does not really keep track of his inventory, so he will have to get back to me at a later point with a list. I did ask if he could check what was remaining in his entire stock, but he asked me to narrow it down to what I really wanted. I ended up just listing every N.E.R. clerestory coach to not make him go through the effort of having to search his ENTIRE inventory. He did tell me that he is no longer doing the 'luggage compo' due to the tooling wearing out, which is indeed a shame. I'll update this thread when he sends me the list of that in the near future. I did ask about his contingency plan on his range, and he mentioned that several people have reached out to him to purchase it in the past. However, none of them were able to bargain for a good price, saying that he thought his range was valued much higher than what was offered. I do hope that he'll reach an agreement of some sort in the future. It would be a terrible loss for his range to disappear forever. Overall, I'm just glad that he's still making kits for everyone to enjoy! Cheers, Julien.

Thank you very much for the information! I primarily wanted to build the clerestory coaches, autocoaches, and vans. Nothing too specific since I'm pretty flexible with what I model or anything that's available at the moment, it just had to be North Eastern. If there's an updated catalogue of his 4mm products, that would be much appreciated! I did want to model the Stores van, however I am told that Dan has not done that in a very long time.
