  1. Done exactly that. The right thing to do. All running and sounding good..
  2. Seeing Hornby fitted the sleeve I have been in touch with them. They advice removing the sleeve. Sorted. Plus my Warranty will not be affected.
  3. Thanks all for letting me know your thoughts, appreciated.
  4. Thank you. .Exactly what I've been doing for 15 years. Good old Kapton Tape. Bought a pack of 3 from the States , [doing DCC in N kato N gauge] This is my first TTS , and factory fitted sound. A current model. Up to now all ESU/ZIMMO Sound. Assuming Hornby know what there doing, I'm leaving well alone. Cheers.
  5. Thanks for advice. Which is why I’ve not removed it. Only doubt came about by reading articles on TTS decoders and overheating, and not to insulate.
  6. I have a Hornby class 60 R3605TTS. It came factory fitted with a insulated sleeve over the decoder. All I have done is upgrade the speaker to. Rail Exclusive Baby Boomer. I’ve had it 4 months and it runs and sounds Great. My Question should I remove the sleeve or not.
  7. A shame. Living locally I have the luxury of it being my nearest model shop only 5 minutes drive. Now having to look further a field or mail order. No more free postage. Parking or coffee and biscuits. Let’s hope it’s sorted.
  8. As it happened no. All good. cheers
  9. Sorted. As suggested a quick call to Digitrains. Thanks all.
  10. Ive mistakenly entered the wrong value in CV 63. Im not sure what the default one was to correct it.. Can anyone help please.? thanks
  11. Mornin. Good news. The wagon no longer shorts through the points, only one axle was the cause. Ive been running it for the last hour through the points and no issues. Rather difficult getting it right with no measuring tools. What a range of Digital measuring equipment out there, obviously the way forward . Something i will source in the near future. Thank you for helping me sort it out. cheers
  12. Hi Simon. Thanks for your reply. Most helpful, and i get what your saying. However my DCC Engines and wagons all run fine on the new Unitrack points, apart from this particular wagon. So im loath to mess with the points. Im going to do as you suggest, and adjust the BTB on the offending wagon very slightly, and see what happens. I will let you know how i get on.
  13. HI. I have a mix of Dapol and Heljan wagons running on Peco track, Some run better than others, and one in Particular shorts on the Unifrog Points pretty much every time, and trips my DCC controller. All the items are brand new, and have not been altered. My question is. Are the back to back wheel measurements out. And if so can i buy a gauge for this purpose. And what size should it be to suite Peco RTR track. Thanks
  14. Mornin Just opened it. Thanks guys, you were spot on. Those three little contacts were twisted, probably my haste in putting it back together after fitting the sound. I should have known better.. All running and sounding great. Cheers.
  15. Been using ESU sound, but now on my second Zimo, a very pleasant alternative. Also a bit of a learning curve. Just fitted Mx 644d, with ZS37 4ASL V17.07 sound file. My directional lights on Fo now only operate Red or white on cab end 1. Nothing on cab end 2. Ive been looking at comments etc. Reaching the conclusion this cannot be changed by CV adjustment. Unless i alter the Bachmann wiring, which im not confident to tackle. Is this the case. ? Thanks
