  1. Hi All,

I would also like to congratulate Revolution for the research and design they have done for the Class 59. (And even more for the upcoming Class 66). The work has resulted in an absolutely stunning model. I have several CJM 59s that have served me well over the years but the Revolution models are so much better. The detail and overall execution of the model is superb. The 2 that I collected at Glasgow are beautiful runners, very quiet and smooth. I am really delighted with them and can’t wait for the 59/1s to arrive.

Once again, Thank you Revolution for producing these excellent models

    cheers,

    Ged.

  2. Eleven car Avanti with full train livery arrived yesterday.

I think these Pendolinos get better and better! Straight out of the top quality boxes it runs smoothly and quietly. The power cars are very powerful and the significant weight, coupled with traction tyres, means they can handle anything. This is my fourth Pendolino and I think it is the best. The detail throughout the train is exquisite and it has a real presence on the layout. It looks beautiful with superb and truly well executed livery. As with the others, the lighting in the first class coaches is an added bonus. All together, the best train on my layout and with the size on my collection, that is saying something!
Thanks, once again to all at Revolution!!!!

  3. I am delighted with these sleeper coaches. The detail and quality is of a very high standard and the printing is superb. As has been said, the close coupling is excellent and I love the lighting. Like others, I have experienced problems with drag making it difficult for a loco to pull 6 coaches. However, I have discovered that you only need power pick ups on one bogie per coach to make the lights work. So, I removed the contact tags from one bogie per coach, ensured the other bogie did not drag and as a result the whole rake runs freely with no problems. (This is on DC. Not sure of the implications for DCC).

    Cheers,

    Ged.

  4. I Agree,

These wagons are exquisite! The detail and quality of the printing is superb. Colour rendition is excellent and they run beautifully. There is a plethora of fine detail and the very small mounting pins hold the containers securely. Top marks in every way.

I have used short couplings instead of those provided and it has considerably improved the look of the rakes.

  6. Hi All,

i purchased and fitted some washers from Maxwells and it stopped the wheels rubbing on the bodies.

The brakes on the wagons still caused a dragging problem on corners so I removed all the brakes. They just clip out of the bogies.

The wagons now roll completely freely and there is no difficulty in locos pulling a long rake.

    Cheers,

    Ged.
